She founded Best of British Beer with her husband Will in April 2011 and has seen the company develop as demand for craft beer from independent producers increases.

Gill is passionate about local businesses and Best of British Beer choose to work with suppliers from Staffordshire for everything from cardboard boxes to website design.

Best of British Beer won the ‘Entrepreneurial Spirit’ category in the 2012 Business Boost Awards and used the prize money to set up a Virtual Brewery.
